Engines and performance

2011 Hyundai Equus is a standard 4.6-liter V8 good for 385 hp and 333 Nm of torque when driving on premium fuel (regular use as fuel to reduce the output slightly to 378 hp and 324 Nm). This rear-wheel-drive car has a six-speed automatic. Performance testing, Equus is increased from zero to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds, which is slower than in other V8-powered luxury sedans. According to estimates, Hyundai Equus mpg city/24 mpg to achieve 16 mpg highway and 19 combined.

Security

The Hyundai Equus 2011 comes standard with stability and traction control, antilock brakes, electronic belts with pretensioners, active head restraints, an outlet of the warning system, sensors front and rear parking, a rearview camera, an airbag driver's knee airbags, front side and rear, and side curtain airbags. In braking tests, the Equus has come to a stop from 60 mph in 131 feet, which is long enough for a flagship luxury sedan.

Interior Design and Special Features

If you are wondering if the value-oriented brands such as Hyundai to produce luxury cars, taxis Equus put your mind at home. Almost all the luxury and convenience features found in premium badge car is available and the quality of design and materials are first class. Not necessarily compete with the car than the Audi, or Jaguar, but it fits what you never see the ', Infiniti, Acura and Lexus.

In particular we recommend the Ultimate Equus, a version which includes all top-of-the-line features a unique four-passenger configuration. The two rear seats that not only are both heated and cooled, but sit and have a massage function. The passenger side rear seat even has a footrest motorized, although we found in testing that does not expand enough for passengers with long legs.

All navigation, climate, vehicle entertainment and information is displayed on a large LCD screen while a button and button array is similar to the Audi MMI control it. The climate control is composed of levers and buttons remarkably simple. In a segment where cars can be hopelessly complex, Equus did a good job of keeping the large number of technologies to manage. Luggage space is a generous 16.7 cubic feet.

Driving Impressions

Silence. This is the most remarkable feature of the 2011 Hyundai Equus. In standby mode, it may seem as calm as a hybrid car with the engine off automatically. Once started, things will not be much higher, since the engine is just a whisper, wind noise is virtually nonexistent and only a little tire roar can be heard, because everything else is so quiet. Despite this environment of conduct quiet, well Equus is not a sleepy manipulation limousine. There is a certain flow to the visit in its normal mode of suspension, but hit the sport and the sedan is more buttoned down on bumps. Through corners, it will not follow sports sedans such as BMW 7 Series or Jaguar XJ, but Equus is fairly stable and predictable when pushed.

Although the power of Equus compete with the competition, you'll push a little 'less at low speeds, while driving in the city. This is most noticeable when you stop accelerating, as the Equus does not offer the same handful of immediate V8 sedans most other luxury flagship.
