Interior Design and Special Features

Inside the spacious cabin, 2012 Acadia is an attractive layout, with two-tone chrome trim accent of stress (including Denali wood grain accents). Unfortunately, this crop is prone to reflect the sun the eye of the driver and front passenger. Two other drawbacks are minor and clear buttons for the audio and climate control and external visibility that is more at risk than other competing vehicles. But in general, the build quality is strong and Acadia materials are slightly better than its brother, the Chevy Traverse.

Depending on the configuration, the Acadia seats seven passengers (with second row captain's chairs) or eight passengers (with a bench split-folding second row) in three rows. The first and second row seats are quite comfortable and supportive, and split-folding third row seat - an area that is often only children in many traditional SUVs - can accommodate adults in reasonable comfort.

Maximum load capacity is huge at 117 cubic feet with second row seats folded and third. Even with all three rows of seats in use, is a useful 24 cubic feet of luggage space. In total, Acadia vehicle much more convenient for people and goods as the largest in the GMC Yukon.

Driving Impressions

Like other major crossings of General Motors, the 2012 GMC Acadia is a delicate balance between security in the handling and comfortable ride. Still, always remember that this is a big heavy vehicle (it weighs nearly 5,000 pounds with four-wheel drive) and feels a bit bulkier than other large crosses on the market. However, compared with the base GMC Yukon, Acadia is a vehicle much more enjoyable and easier to drive. No complaints about the 288-hp V6, and allows you to organize faster in almost any situation and realizes the relatively good fuel economy.
