Chevrolet Captiva Sport introduce a new entry into the U.S. market later this year to meet the growing demand for compact crossovers fleet customers. The Captiva Sport is a variant of the Chevrolet Captiva compact crossover success globally.
Variants of the compact crossover sold in over 50 markets in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Middle East and South America. The U.S. version will be specifically to provide customers with a modern fleet of five passenger crossover with a full range of features and facilities, and meet their need for inclusiveness, practicality and efficiency.

Captiva Sport is available for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2011, as the model 2012.
Chevrolet Equinox still strong growth in retail sales, retail sales grew by 98 percent in February compared to the same month last year. Chevrolet expects sales of retail sales to remain strong, thanks in part to its 32 mpg highway fuel economy rating, higher than the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4 and Ford Escape.
The Captiva Sport with either a 2.4L Ecotec direct-injection four-cylinder direct injection or 3.0L V-6 engine - each paired with a fuel-saving six-speed automatic transmission. Because the crossover is based on proven GM architecture overall, only minor revisions to meet the federal standards in order to accelerate the Chevrolet Captiva sport in the United States.
Captiva Sport is offered in LS and LT models, four trim packages, including all-wheel drive model (ZTL). All models have 17-inch aluminum wheels, XM Satellite Radio, six speaker audio system, four anti-lock disc brakes, traction control, StabiliTrak electronic stability control, air conditioning, central and windows (with driver express-down ) and a remote keyless entry.
High-end the LT and LTZ models include the V-6 (dual exhaust), OnStar and Bluetooth phone. A packet rear view camera and leather - including leather-trimmed heated front seats - are standard on the LTZ and optional on other models. The LTZ includes 10-speaker sound system and a sunroof.

The core of the Captiva Sport is a character of conduct European-inspired, with a stiff, steel body-frame integral structure, complemented by an independent MacPherson strut front and multilink independent rear suspension. An isolated engine cradle helps improve a quiet and smooth ride.

In addition to the management features, including StabiliTrak helps the driver avoid accidents, sports Captiva protects passengers with high-strength steel structure and a long list of standard safety features to protect passengers. Dual-stage front airbags, front seat thorax side airbags and curtain airbags rollover capable head files covering front and rear are standard on all models.
Other standard safety equipment includes Front Row safety seat belt system to release the pedal, which decouples the brake pedal in an accident to prevent damage, active head restraints, monitoring system for tire pressure, locks automatic doors and side lights flashing.
